Does child support favor only women or is child support a system that favors the children no matter who has custody? Recently a young man told me a story that I found unbelievable. He had filed for child support for his son who he has custody of and has had custody of for approximately six years. Child support had awarded this young man $15 a month from the working mother who also receives child support. Now I know this is unbelievable to you also or anyone who hears this. In defense of this situation, this young man works and pays child support for three children in the amount of a little less than $500 a month. Although this amount is not millions, it is not near $15 a month per child. I understand that child support is provided based on the income of the paying parent, but is that the truth or a fairy tale? The reason I say this is because the young man in this case is left with $200 per pay or less to take care of the other four children he has at home. He is trying and trying hard to make it. Are men being punished for fathering children? When two irresponsible people make babies, isn’t it both of their responsibility to support those children? If you agree, that the answer is yes, then why does it seem that fathers are being punished? In cases where women get welfare and food stamps, should only the men be ordered to pay back the system, when clearly they both participated in creating a situation that clearly neither one of them had the means to take care of? So when a man has custody, does that child not deserve the same consideration as if that child were with his mother? $15 a month is certainly not enough to even try to feed that child for a week. It seem when the father has the child not only is the father punished for being a father, but the child is punished also for being with the father. In today’s society, when we talk so much about discrimination, is it possible that there is gender discrimination within the child support system? Is child support in the business only of protecting mothers, or is its business to protect children from poverty, homelessness, and hunger by making sure that they are provided for? If this is the case, how could Child Support in good conscious award a child $15 a month who deserves so much more?
Why is child support bias towards men? Do single fathers deserve and need the same financial security as women? Well apparently the system we have today doesn't think so.
In Algeria a man is suing his wife after seeing her for the first time without makeup. We don't actually know how true this story is but it have sparked up a interesting discussion. What ever happened to natural beauty?
Women of today feel as if they have to cover themselves in makeup to look up to par. Having tons of plastic surgery to have the image of what they think the public consider beautiful. Would you sue your partner if you found out she altered her body?
Kanye West's clothing line is taking a lot of heat from black critics. Some have even called his style "nothing but slave wear". Although his style may not be the common style of clothing of today's generation, many celebrities seem to support Kanye and think it's a very unique type of fashion. From P Diddy, Russell Simmons, Jay-Z (as expected) Beyonce, Rihanna, and many more always come out to support Kanye as he display his latest creations at his fashion shows.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF KANYE'S FASHION LINE?
We've seen plenty of YouTube videos of unknown rappers trying to gain fame and popularity and becoming the next big thing. So why did this video Drill Time by Slim Jesus instantly go viral? Well it's quite simple. This whole Slim Jesus frenzy really have nothing to do with Slim Jesus and more to do with our obsession with Slim Shady.
This shows the impact that Eminem really has on the world of Hip Hop. With Eminem being seen less and less, throughout history fans usually try to find someone who reminds them of their favorite artist to try to fill their obsession with that artist. It's was a well thought out plan to call himself Slim Jesus and have blind hair just like Eminem when he appeared on the scene as Slim Shady and with blind hair.
Lyrically these two artist are not even close. Slim Jesus style is more of a Chicago style similar to Chief Keef. Eminem when stepping on the scene decided to break all lyrical barriers and using his skin color to his advantage. Slim Jesus claim to fame is more of the world obsession with Eminem than Slim Jesus himself. Maybe Slim Jesus do have some talent and writing him off just like many did to Slim Shady when he first stepped on the scene is exactly what Slim Jesus want to happen. As of right now though, Slim Jesus is nothing more than a Eminem freak show that have to prove the world wrong and prove himself just like Eminem did.

Did you ever wonder if Superman ever save a black person? Any a person of any other Nationalities? With all of the problems that this country faced, why didn't our Greatest American Superhero fight for the things that mattered and tackle the problems that existed at that time. No Superman never did save a black person. Not because he couldn't, simply because he wasn't designed to. Here's a article of the greatest superhero ever, that couldn't use his power to save to bring change.
Was superman everybody’s hero? He was and still is America’s hero. His heroism is evident in his outfit that is red, yellow, and blue. Does anyone think that was a mistake? To me red represents the conflicts that superman would have to address, yellow represents his intention to bring hope, and blue represents his ability to make peace, but for who. Superman was an American icon. Superman came to earth during a time that was plagued with racism, slavery, hate, injustice, and inhumanity. Superman was supposed to be a humanitarian, using his powers to change the course of human injustices. He paraded around as a writer at a newspaper publishing. However, you never saw Superman in the middle of the Civil Rights Movement. You didn’t see Superman speaking out against the injustices that plagued our society at that time. I never saw him write one article about how minorities were beat, killed, and denied basic human rights. I didn’t see Superman at the voting polls fighting for people to have the right to vote. Superman was not there to save Emmett Till, Martin Luther King, Sean Bell, Michael Brown, Eleanor Bumpers, and all the others who were at the end of another man’s justice. Superman, a savior or just a man. The amazing part of the Superman story is that although he had that power, he did not use it to effect change. Superman was clearly a vigilante. If Superman was truly to be seen as a hero for the people, then Superman had to recognize all people as human beings and address all inequalities. I wonder if Superman had of been Black, would he have been allowed to use an alias Clark Kent. I wonder if Superman had of been Black, would he have been allowed to remain free every time he practiced vigilante justice. If Superman had of been Black, there probably would have been a new law for him and a place with a J to match his S. Surely he was not a S U P E R-M A N, but a MAN.
Should medicaid stop their coverage for cough syrup? Well many tax payers believe so. The selling of cough syrup over the years have grown into a big time business. Individuals find it easy to access through medicaid. Cough Syrup with Promethazine & Codeine mixed with normally a Sprite soda and candy, is a drink that many individuals in the hip hop community have made famous.
The question is, should medicaid stop their coverage because individuals are abusing the substance? Medicaid already began discussing the stoppage of medicine for recovering addicts back in 2012. Although we don't know (in fact we did not do a full investigation on the final decision) what came of this, we do know that they are considering a way to better manage the way the medicine is prescribed. Many individuals will soon likely have to find another way to get their hand on this cough syrup. We reached out to medicaid for a comment but our phone calls were never returned.

Newark New Jersey, the city where some of the most heartless criminal acts are committed. A place where the good die young. A place where our teenage young women are sexually active. Our young men are already drinking and smoking and involved in gang activity even before they reach high school. A place where shootings, carjackings, stabbings, fights, robberies, seem like a part of the daily routine for the residents of Newark every time you open a newspaper or turn on the news. Even with all the negativity that goes on here each and every day, there's something in each and every Newarker that yells, I'm proud to be from Newark. So many residents are sick of the violence and poor conditions along with the drugs that flow throughout the city like air. Some can't even wait to get out of the city to finally find peace. No matter where a Newarker go, each and every one of them that left won't hesitate to let it be known, they're from Newark New Jersey. People in our Military go to war, some come home and some some won't make it back. There are Newarkers who been in a war their entire life. You have Vietnam, and in the words of Shahid Guyton, you have VietNewark. Where sidewalk soldiers have fell victim. Where evidence of candle light memorials can be found on many blocks throughout the entire city. Newark New Jersey, if you can survive in Newark, you can survive anywhere. We grieve for those who we have lost. Being from Newark mean you have a hell of a story to tell that many people will never believe. Even with all the negativity the city display to those on the outside looking in, Newarkers represent Newark with a pride that the rest of the world wouldn't understand. We have love ones who blood have dried up on sidewalks. So when Newarkers say they're from Newark, just know we represent them love ones that will never be able to you where she or she is from. Newark is a place where we all want to escape, but we're proud to be from Newark. Newark New Jersey, you hate it but you got to love it.
I have often wondered what a father’s love feels like. Is it different than a mother’s love? I have no idea what a father’s love feels like, because my father wasn’t there. My father chose to be absent from his children’s lives. Why wasn’t he willing to make a different choice? Many children go to sleep at night wondering why their fathers are not there. Some may wonder did they do something wrong that their fathers left them. Others don’t remember their fathers. Many long for their father’s love, a phone call, a visit, or anything to have contact with their dad. With man it is different than it is with animals, because man has the ability to think and reason. Then why if that is the case, do many choose to act like animals and walk away from their children? The excuses men make on this subject is too long to list. However, it is the child that suffers. Children are resilient and will put the subject of the father on the back burner. When other children who have fathers talk about or interact with their fathers, the pain monster will erupt. Children will try to avoid the subject. They will make up stories. Some may even give in to hate. All in all though, what the child really wants is a relationship with the father. For me I will never know what it feels like to have a father’s love. It is too late. I will never know what it feels like to have a father say I love you. I am still feeling the effects of not having my father in my life. I cry on any movie that is about the relationship between a child and the child’s father. What must be done for fathers to realize that they are important to their children’s life. The great part of this story is that I learned to forgive my father for choosing himself over me. I can honestly say today that I love him. He gave me the greatest gift, the gift of life.
