Sad Events That happened In Newark R.I.P To All The Victims.
Newark New Jersey, the place where the negative always shine brighter than the positive. If you were born in Newark you walk around with a different type of pride. Newarkers are proud people. Although they may not like the violence that occurs daily in the city, residents in the city are still proud to say that they are from Newark. Dealing with a high crime rate, Newark city officials battle with trying to stop constant murders, car jackings, assaults, drugs, robberies, guns, you name it and it probably happens in Newark.
Newark is already on pace to have 106 murders at the end of the year. For years residents been asking what can the city do to bring down the crime rate. Year after year city officials throw numbers at the residents in Newark to give them hope that things are getting better. You might here the Mayor say, carjackings are down 15 percent. Robberies are down 20 percent. The reason for these numbers is to keep you blinded from the truth. The truth is if you had only 100 carjackings in 2015 and 85 car jackings in 2016 then yes carjackings is down 15 percent. The question is, does that mean city officials should take credit for it? There's a lot to consider. Ask yourself when they throw these numbers at you, do you feel safer in the city? If you do then maybe city officials do deserve the credit. If you don't, then maybe just by God's will it just so happened to be 15 less carjackings in Newark and the city of Newark are the ones that take the credit.
So what is the solution? Tougher laws? More police? Wait until the next election and hope the new Mayor will change things? Well maybe if we put more money into our youth we then can change the mind set of the generations to come. After school programs for high school kids where they can earn a few college credit towards whatever they want to major in. Bring back our little league summer baseball programs. Build more Boys & Girls Clubs for our youth. We have to keep them busy so their time isn't occupied trying to find something to do, only to learn street ways and end up hanging with the wrong crowd.
Together we can bring change to our communities and here at FAMMTV we ask each and every person in the city of Newark, join us as we move forward to bring change. It's the little things that count. If you have a story about your child that you are proud of, contact us and we'll share your story. It's time we let our youth know they are stars in the making. We as networks must do a better job of the information we display to our people. If you only see negative you yourself will atttact that energy. Constant stories of murder and violence is not helping at all. There are other ways to make the news in our communities not just by savage acts.
